Gulliver is a collection of databases that has over 21,000 resources including full-text journals, books, newspapers and pictures.
All are available through public library websites and, with the exception of Ancestry, can be accessed by library members from home.
The databases include Choice magazine (through Onefile), many local, national and international newspapers, and Encyclopedia Britannica Online.
Ancestry Library Edition, an extensive genealogical resource, is included in the Gulliver databases but only accessible from libraries.
Gulliver Training Wiki
Moonee Valley Library Service has produced a wiki for staff to improve their knowledge of online databases and to be able to answer reference inquiries confidently using the databases. It includes 10 weeks worth of databases to review - approx 30 minutes per week. Moonee Valley has the highest per capita use of databases in Victoria so they are obviously doing something right!
